Naina Nekkanti is a rising senior at Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, an Eagle Scout, youth educator, and founder of the Texas Student Cyber Safety Initiative.
After identifying a gap between how often students use technology and how little practical cyber-safety education many receive, Naina developed an engaging workshop model focused on phishing, online privacy, account security, scams, cyberbullying, responsible technology use, and emerging AI risks.
Her work began through her Eagle Scout project and has grown into hands-on workshops, community partnerships, student-led volunteer teams, educational resources, public speaking, and statewide policy advocacy. She continues to bring cyber-safety education to youth organizations and community spaces while advancing the proposed Texas Student Cyber Safety Education Act.
